Connect your BigCommerce store via the V3 Catalog API. Works with all BigCommerce plans including Essentials, Plus, Pro, and Enterprise.
Create an API account
- In BigCommerce Admin, go to Settings → API → API Accounts
- Click Create API Account → Create V2/V3 API Token
- Set a name (e.g. "betterfound.ai")
- Under OAuth Scopes, set Products to
read-only - Save and copy the Access Token, Client ID, and Store Hash

Add the data source
In betterfound.ai dashboard, use Generic JSON and enter:
- URL —
https://api.bigcommerce.com/stores/<store-hash>/v3/catalog/products?include=images,custom_fields&is_visible=true - Auth headers:
X-Auth-Token: <your-access-token>Accept: application/json
Map the BigCommerce response (data[] array):

Install the widget
In BigCommerce, use Storefront → Script Manager to add the snippet without editing theme files:
- Go to Storefront → Script Manager → Create a Script
- Set Name to "betterfound.ai", Location to Footer, Pages to All Pages
- Set Script Type to Script and paste:

Get the exact snippet, pre-filled with your real token, from Widget → Get Code in your betterfound.ai dashboard. Script Manager changes are instant and do not require a theme publish — the widget appears on your live store immediately after saving.
For Headless BigCommerce (using Next.js, Gatsby, or a custom frontend), use the script tag directly in your app's layout component — no Script Manager required.
