Connect betterfound directly to your Product Information Management system so the AI assistant always reflects your master product data — attributes, rich descriptions, digital assets, and taxonomy — without maintaining a separate sync.

Akeneo setup

In Akeneo, go to System → API connections → Create
Set the connection role to Destination (read access only)
Copy the Client ID, Client Secret, Username, and Password
In betterfound, create a new data source and select Akeneo
Enter your Akeneo base URL and credentials

Attribute mapping

PIM platforms store rich structured attributes that map to betterfound fields. The mapping step surfaces all attributes from your PIM and lets you assign them:

Locale and channel selection

If your PIM manages multiple locales or sales channels, select the target locale and channel during setup. betterfound indexes only the selected channel's data. Multi-locale indexing (one index per locale) is available on Enterprise plans.

For real-time sync, configure a webhook in your PIM that calls POST https://api.betterfound.ai/v1/data-sources/:id/sync on product publish events. betterfound will re-fetch only the changed products.
