betterfound is an AI-powered product finder you drop into any storefront with a single script tag. Shoppers describe what they need in natural language; the assistant finds the right products, answers questions, and guides them to checkout — all inside your brand.
What betterfound does
At its core, betterfound connects three things: your product catalogue, a conversational AI, and your storefront UI. When a shopper types a question, the AI searches your catalogue with structured filters, fetches supplementary detail from your product pages if needed, and streams a formatted answer back — with clickable product cards.
There are no third-party search bars to maintain, no separate recommendation engine to tune, and no LLM setup required on your end. betterfound handles the AI infrastructure; you own the catalogue and the look-and-feel.

How the product catalogue connects
betterfound pulls your product data through a data source — a URL pointing to your Shopify storefront API, WooCommerce REST API, or any JSON/GraphQL endpoint that returns products. You configure this once in the dashboard. From that point, betterfound indexes your catalogue and keeps it in sync automatically.
For richer answers (specs, FAQs, policies), betterfound can also fetch live content from your brand website using the optional Fetch Agent — a signed HTTP proxy that reads public product pages on demand. See the Security: Authentication & Signing docs for how this works.
